Occasion Wear

All of my dresses are made as bespoke orders. Creating a bespoke gown allows you to be a part of the design process, meaning the item is made to your personal measurements as well as to your own style. The design is made exclusive to you as the client, which means there will be no two dresses a like. The final garment is unique and one of a kind.

Within this process, I work with my client to decide on the main features they would like within their final garment, before working on designs to follows these ideas. After one of these designs are chosen, material options are discussed and a basic toile of the garment is produced to ensure a perfect fit. The garment is then altered and re designed on the body before any adjustments are made. A number of dress fittings are held to make decisions on the final garment.

If you would like any more information on creating a bespoke designed dress, please contact me by using the above link ‘Contact’ where I would be happy to discuss any ideas you have.

D. Ramage Bridesmaid Dresses – 23rd July 2017

I felt honoured to be able to make a wedding dress for one of my closest friends. Debbie came to me with a vision for her dress but as we started her wedding dress, she realised there is very limited bridesmaid dresses available in stores for both adult and younger girls without choosing two different dresses. Creating bespoke bridesmaid dresses ensured that both the bridesmaids could be wearing the same style whilst still remaining age appropriate. We worked together to design a style which would suit both girls, altering the bodice to suit. Here are some images of the final dresses:

K.Merrick Prom Dress – 23rd June 2017:

I worked with Katie, back in 2016 to create her prom dress and this year we worked together to revamp last years bespoke prom gown into a new design inspired by Katie’s own vision.  Here are some images of our little transformation. The images below these ones show last years gown, with pictured being taken this time last year. And the steps we took to give it a revamp are shown below.

K. Merrick Prom Dress – 17th June 2016:

Working with Katie, we designed her dream dress before bringing it to life ready for her boyfriend’s prom. This gown was designed as a bespoke project.

In 2016,  I was asked if I would be interested in making the maids gala dresses. This was a true honor as I myself have grown up with the gala traditions every year. I hope this will be an ongoing collaboration for many years to come.
